King Records 45 box

When 45 rpm singles were shipped out to retailers from record labels, they were usually shipped in small cardboard boxes that held 25 records. These boxes would sometimes be plain brown boxes, but some labels made custom graphics for the boxes. These graphics were usually a variant of the factory sleeves they shipped the singles in, but sometimes the design was more unique.

As these boxes were meant just to ship out product, most of these boxes were thrown out after use. Finding one of these boxes, in any sort of condition, is very difficult. I managed to find a shipping box for King Records, thanks to friends at Freakbeat Records over in Sherman Oaks, California. After scanning in the box, and a considerable amount of Photoshop cleaning, I proceeded to trace the elements in Illustrator. The result is this beautiful shirt, printed on a shirt color to try and match the original box.

The shirt design is as seen above: black logo on a "Brown Savana" Gildan G5000 shirt, approximately 9.5" wide.

SHIRT MANUFACTURING: Every shirt is handmade. Designs are created in Illustrator (no A.I. used). Custom DTF sheets are heat pressed onto Gildan G5000 shirts. All shirts are hand-packed and shipped. The Unidentified Press is a one-man show. As such, please allow two to three weeks for packages to arrive. When shirts are completed and shipped out, you will receive a tracking number. If a shirt is sold out, you can submit your email and size request for the next batch that is made.

SHIRT CARE: Wash cold, inside out. Cool dry or air dry. Do not bleach, dry clean or ask questions.

THE FINE PRINT: For all the "legalese", be sure to read The Fine Print.
