The Limited-Run Shirt for August 2026

The Unidentified Press limited-run shirt for August is a tribute to the late radio DJ Jed The Fish. I'd been a fan of Jed since hearing him on KROQ in the '80s. Almost immediately after hearing of his passing, I had the idea for this shirt. When starting up The Unidentified Press, I was trying to think of which shirt to start the shop with. It was a very short debate. It had to be Jed.

The design is a simple text design in a dark taupe, on a "Natural" color (off-white) Gildan G5000 shirt.

I talked to a few of Jed's friends about the shirt, and said that I needed help trying to decide how to honor Jed, beyond just by making the shirt. One friend mentioned his love of all things Pasadena, and of a few galleries and such. Therefore, one dollar from the sale of each shirt will be donated to The Huntington. Yes, I know The Huntington is technically in San Marino. Ssssh!

SHIRT MANUFACTURING: Every shirt is handmade. Designs are created in Illustrator (no A.I. used). Custom DTF sheets are heat pressed onto Gildan G5000 shirts. All shirts are hand-packed and shipped. The Unidentified Press is a one-man show. As such, please allow two to three weeks for packages to arrive. When shirts are completed and shipped out, you will receive a tracking number. If a shirt is sold out but still within the "limited run" month window, you can submit your email and size request for the next batch that is made.

SHIRT CARE: Wash cold, inside out. Cool dry or air dry. Do not bleach, dry clean or ask questions.
